Same as putting on a condom…almost
Exactly the same!
I love this knife but Iike he said, the serrated blade is a deal breaker for me. I wished it came with plain edge and I know one does come with plain but you have to spend a little more for that one. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Отличная идея👍🏻🌻
Good advice chap
I learned this technique in Girl Scouts more than 50 years ago as part of a Buddy Burner. We used empty tuna fish cans. Haven't used shoe polish in decades.
A sense of humour weighs nothing, but is a kit essential. Thanks for the reminder 😂
Any chance you know how long a 200ml bottle lasts?
Not entirely sure, But you do only need a small amount for each fire! 🔥 👍
@Wildernesswarriorbushcraft thanks for the reply. I'll let you know when my 200ml runs out
Andy, you're a real inspiration. Just check spelling please...smockless ? Comes to us all with age !
🙄 Thank you pal 🙏🔥
The serrations are perfect for rope and cord, while leaving a plain edge near the handle for whittling.
Imagine strolling through the woods and stumble across this video been made 😳
🤣🤣
If you can't tie knots well, look up bear essentials, and tx tool crib. they have some really helpful knot videos there.. Learn the marline spike hitch, bowline, alpine butterfly, clove hitch, canadian jam knot, double fishermans bend, taut line hitch and trefoil end knot, you'll have like most everything you'll ever need. Great vid.
I gotta admit... When you said about just tying it up and tying it up till it sticks, if you can't tie knots, I thought to myself, "seriously?". But actually, it made it relevant to everyone because it allowed things to move onto to point of the video, which was hanging the bag up. People will naturally go and find out those other bits. Nice and on point.
Is the knife sturdy and practical?
This knife isn’t very practical in my opinion! And being a folding knife I’m not sure if It’s that sturdy! Andy 🤟
@Wildernesswarriorbushcraft very sturdy! Super tight, nothing on it feels loose
@@tookmynick You used the same
Keep banging away ! Best I can think of to support your efforts? I bet you can't....always works for me.
Thanks pal!🤣💪🙏
If you can’t do knots and you’re watching this video on RUclips… maybe just search up some knot tying videos and practice 😂
Good ❤❤❤🎉🎉
The return of the Zoot suit?
My knife would go through that like butter. One cut straight in and another cut on the angle gives to a flat end too. Two sides cut in gives you full width flat on the ends.
Thank you for this review. Just bought this, was wondering if I needed a finer grit for finish.
Hi there, Good to hear! I would say it would be fine on its own! A Good stropping would be good though! (ie Back of a leather belt)
Why not just use your knee to break it and conserve your blade?
Yes you could pal! But as I mentioned, it’s puts the Craft into Bushcraft!🤷🏻♂️🤟 Thanks for the comment! Andy🤟
Hankook principle 😂
Thanks! I will try to remember that 🤞
Like it. So British calling it the rosette cut where all the American yt celebrities would call it the beaver chew. Plus the addition of “Let’s bring the craft into bushcraft “ nice. Think a lot of people are losing that meaning.
It is isn’t it…🇬🇧 Thanks for the comment! Andy🤟
Are you still out running ? Saw the other clip yesterday, now this... Good work. !
😂 I’m not that Fit…..
Thank you for doing the follow up video - you promised and you delivered! Its a lovely looking knife, i think I'll pull the trigger and get one. When you say its not legal carry in the UK, does that apply to using it on trails? (Im not from the UK so forgive my ignorance, but ill be doing a trail in Scotland soon.) Cheers

Thanks for ur comment! 🙏 I’ve sent a UK knife Law link so you can see what it is 100%
@@Wildernesswarriorbushcraft cheers I was looking through it! I suppose it's best I bring the smallest knife I have. The law does seem to be common sense really but I'd imagine it's easy to get caught out and cause unnecessary hassle. I'll still get that Swiss soldiers knife for use on our farm, though! Thanks again
awesome video ᶠʳᵉᵉ ᴾᵃˡᵉˢᵗᶦⁿᵉ
Thank you!🙏
Looking like maybe you are serving life in prison on some remote island in the berring straight. Our version of siberia or something.
🤷🏻♂️
got this knife and I totally agree with you, this is a really great knife and I'm using it nearly everyday outdoor as well as indoor
4 reasons the Rucksack is the best 111mm: Lighterweight (easier to pocket curry) more ergonomic handle, BETTER knife blade, better saw. add a 5th rason, it costs less than the other models.
The best 111mm is the Rucksack, not the Forester nor the Soldier. I was glad when I saw Ethan Becker and other famous "knife" people, currying the Rucksack and mentioning that it is the best (for the outdoors) bcause I already did edc the Racksack, because I live in the outdoors since the early 2000s . I own all the famous models,Rucksakk is indeed the best.Discontinued but can still be found,in shops or internet.
Andy, for those who have issues with the serrations, there's a non serrated version called the Victorinox Forester M Grip I obtained my via Victorinox's Amazon store. Not sure where else you would obtain one in the UK. £45.89 with Prime as of May 4th 2024.
Hi, Amazing thanks for that! And thank you for your comment! 🙏🤟
Nice one Andy, looks like I'm getting one of those for my personal outdoor kit, keep up the good work!
It is a great bit of kit! And I will thank you!🙏
Thank you❤
Great tip !
These are made for emergency survival/camp knives. Wasnt made erogonmic because it wasnt meant to be used for hours

Sounds tough. I swear I lost calories just watching. Seriously, very best of luck and please post progress.
🤣 Thank you 🙏 will do pal! 🤟
Please do a follow up on this knife, I'd love to know how you found it in the long term
Hi there, Thanks for your comment! I sure will, should be out next weekend!! Watch this space! Andy 🤟
@@Wildernesswarriorbushcraft excellent stuff, I'll take a gander! Cheers
Such an awesome weekend. Was glad to be part of it and meet everyone. ❤
Hello Tim, Glad you enjoyed it! Come back and see us again sometime! Andy🤟
Sweden is not Switzerland.
Hi James, Yes Yes I know!! Not sure why I kept doing that! Will be doing another video review on this knife very soon so will also be clearing up that mistake! Anyway thanks for the comment! Andy 🤟
You look like a guy who used to post decent videos....welcome back!
Hi Paul, Thank you 🙏
Short and sweet video, seems to be a nice little axe. Nice to see a lightweight axe that retains a proper length of handle.
Its use in the Netherlands to. I have one And model nr kl4 . Thare are clones officiële by the army from china. But that is kl1 serie.. You can see it that the name victorinox is not on the mean blade.
great setup be giving that a go got a camp coming up in the next wk .i might lift the back out with another pole or stick to make it bigger great thanks for sharing andy
Thanks for the comment! Stay safe! Andy 🤟

Good to see new material from you. Best wishes Sir.
Snorers, put the band of your headtorch under your chin to keep yer yap-hole shut. 😂 Torch to the top*
Imagine rocking up to do the Fan and seeing Lofty.... Damn.
When you pulled out the sleeping bag it looked a body 😂😂
My brother got me this knife a while back and one complaint is that you can indeed lose the screwdriver head like you mentioned being worried about but you can replace it with another head; I would know. It's also a bit of a pain to sharpen but it does keep its edge for a bit. Even with that being said it's still been my main EDC for I believe about a year or a bit more than that.
Great “reality “ video and I could hear every word. Just bought one and would be interested to hear if anyone dilutes their fuel to tame the flame? It’ll obviously prolong cooking times but some of the flames I’ve seen off these burners would take your eyebrows off at twenty paces😁
Thank you Sir! Good to hear that! Andy 🤟
